Californië krijgt bosbranden niet onder controle

Al bijna een maand teistert het zogenaamde 'Ferguson Fire' de bossen in de Amerikaanse provincie Californië. Op 13 juli werd voor het eerst gewag gemaakt van bosbranden en ook afgelopen weekend moesten brandweermannen in actie komen in het Yosemite National Park om het vuur in toom te houden. Ondanks hun verwoede pogingen groeide de brand met zo'n 10 procent. De bosbranden eisten het leven van zeker één brandweerman. Elders in de Verenigde Staten, in het noordoosten van de provincie Ontario, woedt ook al bijna een maand een bosbrand.Photo News
