Adele en Foo Fighters grote winnaars Grammy's

Adele is het grote prijzenbeest op de 54ste editie van de Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. De Britse mocht zes awards mee naar huis mocht nemen: album van het jaar ('21'), opname van het jaar ('Rolling in the Deep'), nummer van het jaar ('Rolling in the Deep'), beste popsoloprestatie ('Someone Like You'), beste popalbum ('21') en beste muziekvideo ('Rolling in the Deep').

Adele moest het in de categorie van beste nummer opnemen tegen 'All Of The Lights' (Jeff Bhasker, Stacy Ferguson, Malik Jones, Warren Trotter & Kanye West), 'The Cave' (Ted Dwane, Ben Lovett, Marcus Mumford & Country Winston), 'Grenade' (Brody Brown, Claude Kelly, Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine, Bruno Mars & Andrew Wyatt) en 'Holocene' (Justin Vernon).

Naast Adele sleepten ook de Foo Fighters vijf prijzen in de wacht, terwijl Kanye West vier Grammy's op de schoorsteen mag zetten. Taylor Swift mocht er twee in ontvangst nemen.

Een beklijvend moment tijdens de awarduitreiking was toen de ouders van de vorig jaar overleden Amy Winehouse de Grammy voor beste pop duo-optreden in ontvangst kwamen nemen voor haar vertolking met Tony Bennett van Body and Soul. (belga/kgm)
